On July 26, 2017 at 12:50 A.M. Waterloo Police Department responded to an alarm at Yesway convenience store located at 1976 Franklin St.  Upon arrival it was found that the store had been robbed by a suspect armed with a handgun and threatened to kill the clerk if he did not give him the money from the register. The suspect fled on foot from the store with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect is described as a white male in his twenties around 5’ 10” and 150 pounds and was wearing a navy colored hooded sweatshirt with a Nike swoosh in the upper left corner. The clerk received no injuries during the incident.
