Patch

The Waterloo Police Foundation, in cooperation with the Waterloo Police Department, is pleased to announce the Cops, Kids, and Cool for School shopping event. This event was created to help build positive relationships between police officers and kids in our community.

On Tuesday, August 8th, at 5:30 p.m. Waterloo Police officers, volunteering their time, will meet with over a dozen kids from our community. These kids will be paired with a police officer to accompany them in shopping for the supplies they need for a great start of the school year.  The Waterloo Police Department wants young people to be successful in school, and have some fun getting ready for the first day.

Members of the media are welcome to attend.  The police officers and kids will meet at the grocery entrance of Target on Tuesday, August 8th, at 5:15 p.m.  The event will start at 5:30 p.m.

Please contact Waterloo Police Foundation board members if you have any questions or would like to contribute finically to this event:
