On Saturday, May 19, 2018 Waterloo Police and Waterloo Fire Rescue responded to the following incidents:

At 12:13 AM Officers heard shots fired in and around the 1300 block of E. 4th Street.  As they checked the area they determined the shooting occurred in the area of Linn and Cottage.   As a result of the investigation into this incident Devonte D. Wright age 17, suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was treated at Covenant Medical Center.    Cashee M. Williams age 21 suffered a minor injury as the result of the shooting and was treated at Allen Hospital.

At 4:35 AM Officers responded to the 1600 block of Sycamore Street on report of shots fired in the area.   As they investigated this incident they determined that Davon D. Caldwell age 22 was received a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was treated at Allen Hospital.

At 5:16 AM Officers responded to 639 Gable on report of a shooting.    When the officers arrived they found Gregory K. Walker age 33 suffering from a gunshot wound.   He was treated at the scene and transported by Waterloo Fire Rescue to Allen Hospital where he later died.  An autopsy will be performed on Monday by the Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Office.

These are ongoing investigations and no further information will be released at this time.
