Waterloo Police Investigate Accident involving a Bicyclist

Shortly after 8pm tonight, Officers were sent to the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and Bishop Ave. on the report of a motor vehicle accident involving a car and a bicyclist.

When Officers arrived, they found the bicyclist had sustained a head injury and the driver of the vehicle was uninjured. Waterloo Fire and Rescue initially transported the bicyclist to Allen Hospital and he was later transferred to Covenant Medical Center for treatment.

Officers are currently investigating the details surrounding this accident. The bicyclist’s injuries are believed to be non-life threatening at this time.
