On Wednesday June 19, 2013 Officers with the Waterloo Police Department's Violent Crime Apprehension Team and the Waterloo Police Tactical Unit executed a search warrant at 525 Locust Street reference a drug and gun investigation.  During a search of the residence Officers located a quantity of marijuana, money and other items used in the sale and distribution of drugs.  Officers also seized a Luger 9mm Tec-9 with high capacity magazines, a Loracin .380 handgun and ammunition.

Rodney Edward Gary Jr., age 29, of Waterloo was taken into custody for possession with intent to deliver marijuana within one thousand feet of a school.  Rose Ann Rodriguez, age 26, of Waterloo was taken into custody for possession with intent to deliver marijuana within one thousand feet of a school and child endangerment.  Both suspects were booked into the Black Hawk County Jail.
