On Wednesday February 26, 2025, at approximately 8:13 PM Waterloo Police and Fire Personnel were dispatched to 1735 Lafayette on a report of a shooting.  Officers arrived and found a male had been shot in the leg and began rendering first aid.  The male was later transported by Waterloo Fire to a local hospital and his being treated for non-life threating injuries.  A firearm has been recovered, and the case is under investigation.
