Patch

On December 4, 2015 at approximately 0008 hours Waterloo Officers took a report of a robbery that occurred in the 1800 block of Mulberry Street of a 17 year old female victim. The victim advised she made arraignments to meet with the offender, Marcus Bell, age 16, and sell prescription pills. When she arrived Bell got in the car and pointed a handgun at her and demanded the medication. The victim refused and when Bell got out of the vehicle she started to drive away when Bell fired two gun shots at the car with one of the bullets striking the passenger side door.

As a result of the investigation the Waterloo Police Department Tactical Team executed a search warrant at 317 Linden Street. Marcus Bell was located inside the residence and taken into custody without incident. Also taken into custody was Antonio Tate Sr., age 34, who had unrelated arrest warrants.

Marcus Bell was charged in Black Hawk County District Court with Robbery 1st Degree, Intimidation with a Weapon, and Carrying Weapons.
