Social Media Threat

On April 10, 2023, the Waterloo Schools and Waterloo Police Department became aware of a social media threat towards Lou Henry school.  This threat was posted on a social media site and was put out to several people in our community.  With the assistance of our State and Federal partners, we were able to determine the threat was not viable.  We would like to thank those in the community who came forward and notified the Waterloo Police Department and the Waterloo Schools.  These types of threats have become commonplace and we take these types of threat seriously and thoroughly investigate them.
