On Wednesday, April 8th, 2015 at 8:41 P.M. Officers of the Waterloo Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Mitchell and Bourland Avenue.  Contact was made with the driver of the vehicle, Christine T. Williams, age 28.  Sitting in the passenger side of the vehicle was a Marcus Sykes, age 19. 

During the traffic stop a SCCY CPX-2, 9mm handgun was located in the middle console of the vehicle. Williams admitted that she had just purchased the handgun and gave it Sykes who is a convicted felon.  Sykes does have a felony adjudication for Trafficking in Stolen Weapons dated 11-27-12. 

Christine T. Williams was arrested and charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon (by aiding and abetting a felon), Carrying Weapons, Providing False Information, and Driving while license suspended.

Marcus Sykes was arrested and charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
