On Thursday, January 7, 2010, Iowa City police arrested 23- year-old Jay Michael Harkless of Iowa City and charged him with three counts of second-degree robbery in connection with some robberies in their city.

During their investigation, Harkless admitted to robbing the Veridian Credit Union at 1616 Lafayette Street in Waterloo on December 31, 2008.

Waterloo Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Harkless charging him with second-degree robbery in connection with the Veridian Credit Union robbery. Bond was set at two hundred thousand dollars.

Harkless is presently being held in the Johnson County jail on multiple robbery charges from various jurisdictions.
