On May 26, 2010 at approximately 12:21 PM, Waterloo Police were called to 308 Courtland on report of a missing 8-year old child. The child had not been seen since 10:00 AM.

Officers searched the area, while a locate was issued through the local media. The child was located at approximately 2:20 PM with a family member.

The Waterloo Police Department also used the "A Child is Missing" national alert system which calls home in the general area to help locate missing children.
