Shooting Arrest

 On Sunday, December 10, 2023, at 4:47 AM, Waterloo Police Officers were dispatched to 218 Glenwood St on a report of person who had been shot. Officers arrived on scene and observed a male victim laying in the front yard next to the driveway unresponsive. The male victim appeared to have been shot several times. Officers performed life saving measures, until Waterloo Fire and Ambulance arrived and transported the victim to Allen.  The victim has been identified as 36 yrs. old Richard Sturdivant.  Sturdivant is in critical but stable condition.  During the course of the investigation, Waterloo Detectives have charged two persons: 29 yrs old Marqwane Smith with Felon in Possession of a Firearm, burglary 1st, robbery 1st and Willful Injury causing serious injury and 24 yrs. old Karondius Kelly with Robbery 1^st, Burglary 1^st, and Willful Injury.  Investigation is ongoing
