On Wednesday March 26, 2025, 9:59 PM Waterloo Police and Waterloo Fire Personnel were dispatched to Ryder Logistics at 2280 Northeast Dr on a report of a person who had been shot in the parking lot. When Police and Fire arrived, they located a male down and began lifesaving measures.  The male was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.  The deceased has been identified as 33 yrs. old Dipree Devante Jones of Waterloo Iowa.  As a result of this death, Waterloo Detective have charged 21 yrs old Martavious J’Qualin Reed of Waterloo Iowa with 1st Degree Murder.  This Investigation is still ongoing and if you have any information you are asked to contact the Waterloo Police Detective Division 319-291-4340 #3 or Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers 855-300-TIPS.
