Waterloo, Iowa

On March 15th, 2021 at 11:09 A.M. the Waterloo Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 700 block of Park Ave, Waterloo.   When police arrived they located Michael Barron age 41 suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso.   Barron was immediately transported to the hospital where he continues to receive medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries.   While on scene officers followed footprints, they believed belonged to the suspects, to 715 ½ West 3rd Street, Waterloo.   Officer were able to make contact with the occupants.   Investigation into this matter led to the arrest of Dequonterio J. Galloway-Ba ss for Dominion/Control of a Firearm by a felon, Carrying Weapons, and Willful Injury.   Galloway-Bass is currently in the custody of the Black Hawk County Jail.

A Criminal Charge/Warrant is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
