On July 2nd, 2021 at 10:40 PM the Waterloo Police Department responded to a reported shots fired in the area of the 400 blk of Conger Ave Waterloo.  The investgation into this matter led to a search warrant being seved at 435 Conger Street, with a weapon, shell casings and evidence of firework violations being discovered.   In addtion there was a recording discovered with a female telling the defendant not to fire the weapon due to children being around.   

Through the investigation into this matter Waterloo Police arrested Marquise Johnson age 37 of 533 Dawson for:

Felon in possesion of a firearm

Reckless use of firearm

Child Endangerment 

Fireworks Violations

The Waterloo Police continue to investiagate all fireworks complaints as they are received and residence are encouraged to continue to call in violations.

 

A Criminal Charge/Warrant is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
