On July 6, 2021 Detectives with the Waterloo Police Department's Violent Crime Apprehension Team (VCAT) and Tri-County Drug Enforcement Task Force executed search warrants at 2007 #3 College St. Cedar Falls, 1939 #234 College St. Cedar Falls, and 1147 Oleson Rd. Waterloo reference an ongoing investigation. A total of seven illegally possessed firearms were recovered during the operations with two of those firearms being previously reported stolen. Detectives also seized various types and quantities of narcotics at each location. Other agencies assisting in this operation include the Waterloo Federal Safe Streets Task Force, Cedar Falls Police Department and the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement. 

Five offenders were taken into custody and charged with the following offenses:

Qunshaundes McNealy, 26, of Waterloo: Felon in Possession of a Firearm X2, Domestic Abuser in Possession of Ammunition X2, Trafficking Stolen Weapons, Theft 4th/Possession of Stolen Property (Firearm), and valid warrants for VNCO and Disorderly Conduct

William McNealy, 21, of Cedar Falls: Felon in Possession of a Firearm X2, Theft 4th/Possession of Stolen Property (Firearm)

William Burt, 27, of Waterloo: Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession with Intent to Deliver Schedule IV Controlled Substance

Sahjit Phillips, 22, of Waterloo: Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Trafficking Stolen Weapons, Theft 4th/Possession of Stolen Property (Firearm)

Xzavier Cummings, 21, of Cedar Falls: Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana While In Possesion of Firearms
