On Monday, May 22, 2023, at approximately 7:57 AM., Waterloo Police and Fire Rescue were dispatched to a two-vehicle motor vehicle collision in the 4200 blk. of Logan Avenue.  Upon arrival, it was found that this was a double fatality with one person deceased from each vehicle.  Two passengers in one vehicle were transported to Allen Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.  Traffic Investigators are on scene and are being assisted by Iowa DOT and the Black Hawk County Sheriffs Office.  No names are being released pending notification of family members.
