On May 21, 2023, at approximately 8:04 Waterloo Police and Fire Rescue were dispatch to 217-D Fereday Court on a report of female unresponsive.  Waterloo Fire Rescue arrived and began performing life saving measures.  During this time, it was observed that the female had several knife wounds.  The female was transported by Waterloo Fire Rescue to Allen Hospital.  The female victim later died because of her injuries.  The victim has been identified as 54 yrs. old Roberta Nagy of Waterloo.   Nagy’s death has been ruled a homicide.   Detectives with the Waterloo Police Department have charged 33 yrs. old Sarah Nagy Brown of Waterloo with 1^st Degree Murder.

A Criminal Charge/Warrant is merely an accusation, and a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
