On Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at approximately 7:55 PM, Waterloo Police responded to a report of a large fight at Exchange Park involving numerous subjects. It was also reported some of the people were using bats and possibly someone had been stabbed.  Once at the scene Officers found at least three people had sustained injuries.  Two of the injured were transported to Allen Memeorial Hospital by Waterloo Fire Rescue for treatment.  A third person died at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the altercation.

 The names and condition of the injured parties are not being released.  The name of the deceased is also not being released pending notification of relatives.  The investigation is on going and no further information is available at this time.
