Waterloo Police Department are investigating a fatal crash that happened at Hammond Ave and San Marman Dr. The accident happened on July 13, 2009 at 0201 hrs, Officers responded to a single car accident on the access road to San Marnan Dr.

The car was traveling west bound on San Marnan Dr. on the access road. The car appeared to be traveling at a high rate of speed and left the roadway hitting a pole. The driver was ejected from the car and pronounced dead shortly after the accident. The passenger was taken to Covenant Medical Center for treatment of non life threatening injuries.

Driver and passenger names are not being released at this time.
No other information is available at this time - the accident remains under investigation.
