Patch

On Tuesday, August 18, 2009 around 6 am, Waterloo Police officers responded to the Kum & Go convenience store at 1976 Franklin Street on a report of a robbery that had just occurred.

Officers were told that two young black males entered the store and that one of them displayed a handgun and demanded money.  The clerk, who was not injured during this incident, gave the suspects an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspects then ran from the store.

A witness directed officers to 119 Mohawk Street where the suspects ran to after the robbery.

Officers found 16-year-old Trevell Demon Bruce and 15-year-old Tereall DeShawn Green, both of Waterloo, in the residence and wound up charging both of them with robbery in the first degree.  During a search of the residence Investigators recovered items they believe are connected with the robbery, which include clothing, a 22-caliber handgun and cash.

Trevell Bruce is being held in the Black Hawk County Jail without bond.  Tereall Green was remanded to Juvenile Court Services and is being held in the Black Hawk County Detention Center.  Photos of Bruce and Green are not available.
