Waterloo Police Department Chief of Police Thomas J. Jennings recently promoted three Waterloo Police officers.

Sergeant Lisa Campbell, age 45, with 15-years of service, has been promoted to lieutenant.  Lieutenant Campbell has been assigned as the Watch II Patrol Commander.  Lieutenant Campbell's previous assignments include patrol officer, field training officer, training unit coordinator and field training coordinator/supervisor.  Lieutenant Campbell is a certified firearms instructor and a certified weapons armorer.  Lieutenant Campbell has a Bachelor of Science degree from Upper Iowa University in public administration and is a graduate of the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy.

Investigator Hector Camarin, age 38, with 15-years of service, has been promoted to sergeant.  Sergeant Camarin has been assigned to the Watch I Patrol Division.  Sergeant Camarin's previous assignments include patrol officer, field training officer, tactical unit officer, motorcycle officer and investigations.  Sergeant Camarin has an associates degree from Hawkeye Community College and is a graduate of the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy. 

Officer Augustin "Gus" Farmer, age 27, with 6-years of service, has been promoted to sergeant.  Sergeant Farmer has been assigned to the Watch III Patrol Division.  Sergeant Farmer's previous assignments include patrol officer, citizen response unit officer, mounted patrol unit and crime scene investigator.  Sergeant Farmer is a K-9 handler, an assignment he has held since 2006, and is also a technical accident investigator.  Sergeant Farmer has an associates degree in criminal justice from Ellsworth Community College and is a graduate of the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy.  Sergeant Farmer is currently on the executive board of the Iowa Association of Chiefs of Police and Police Officers.
