On March 16, 2010 at approximately 8:20 PM, officers were called to the Kwik Star at 1636 West 4th Street on report of a robbery. The suspect was described as a white male wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants and a black baseball hat.

On March 17, 2010 officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver's clothing matched the description of the robbery suspect. The driver was arrested for Driving While his License is Suspended (DWLS) and taken to the police station. At the police station, the driver was questioned about the robbery and admitted to taking the money from the Kwik Star.

Arrested was Michael James Clausen, age 25, 1230 Downing Court, Waterloo, IA. He is being charged with Robbery in the Second Degree and several traffic violations.
