On 03-16-2010, Waterloo Police Officers attempted to stop a red Toyota Celica for a traffic violation. The driver sped away and led officers on a pursuit out of the city into Black Hawk County on Foulk Road. The driver crashed and rolled his car in the ditch and attempted to flee from officers, but he was caught in a nearby farm field.

The driver, Timothy James McClain, age 36, of Waterloo was transported to Covenant Medical Center for treatment following the accident. While being treated at the hospital, he left without being released.

On 03-17-2010 Officers obtained several arrest warrants for McClain in regards to the pursuit and accident.

On 03-24-2010, at approximately 3:45 PM, Officers observed McClain enter a house in the 500 block of Upton Avenue. When Officers approached the house to arrest McClain, he rook off running. Officers pursued McClain north across Highway 218 where he was taken into custody in the ditch on the north side of the highway.

McClain has been charged with Parole Violation, Interference with Official Acts, Failure to Appear, Felony Eluding, Operating While Intoxicated, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Driving While License is Suspended. McClain is currently being held in the Black Hawk County Jail without bond.

McClain attempted to change his appearance by shaving his mustache and goatee and dying his hair.
