On April 14, 2010, Waterloo Police responded to the area of East Fourth Street and Gable Street on report of a large disturbance. As officers tried to disperse the crowd, several people did not comply with the officers' orders and were arrested.
Charged were the following:
Elijah Jamal Moore, age 20, of 507 Wellington Street, Apt. #3, Waterloo was charged with Failure to Disperse and Public Intoxication.
JaTera Charisse Wiley, age 17, of 127 Leland Avenue, Waterloo was charged with Failure to Disperse and Interference with Official Acts.
Ricondis NMN Martin, age 18, of 222 Charles Street, Waterloo was charged with Interference with Official Acts and Failure to Disperse.
Paige Andriana Alston, age 16, of 126 Leland Avenue, Waterloo was charges with Assault on a Peace Officer, Failure to Disperse and Disorderly Conduct.
Christina NMN Bailey, age 72, of 233 Gable Street, Waterloo was chagred with Assault on a Peace Officer.
Tiffany Latrice Edwards, age 21, of 126 Leland Avenue, Waterloo was charged with Failure to Disperse and Disorderly Conduct.
Shavonne Mykel Lewis, age 17, of 517 Gable Street, Waterloo was charged with Failure to Disperse.
Taevan NMN Washington, age 16, of 315 East 10th Street, Waterloo was charged with Failure to Disperse and Interference with Official Acts.
Derrick NMN Ambrose, age 19, of 318 Oliver Street, Waterloo was charged with Assault on a Peace Officer and Interference with Official Acts.
Douglas Gardel Bailey, age 19, of 233 Gable Street, Waterloo was charged with Assault on a Peace Officer, Failure to Disperse and Interference with Official Acts.
During the incident two Waterloo Police Officers were assaulted. A police squad car was damaged when some people threw rocks and a brick at the car.
The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office and the Iowa State Patrol assisted Waterloo Police at the scene.
