In the early morning hours of Sunday, July 4, 2010 Waterloo Police were giving extra attention to the area near the Inter-City Motor Cycle Club located at 1428 E.4th Street due to a large crowd. Shortly after 3 am Officers reported hearing numerous gunshots and responded to an area across from the Motor Cycle Club.

 Officers located 44 year-old Darrell Anthony Huggins of Waterloo suffering from gunshot wounds to his leg and back.  Huggins was transported to Allen Memorial Hospital by Waterloo Fire Rescue ambulance for treatment of his injuries which were determined to be non-life threatening.

 During the investigation into this incident 33 year-old Toraino Adaryel Love of Waterloo was developed as a suspect.  Love was later located and brought to the Waterloo Police Department for questioning.

Love was charged with Going Armed With Intent, Willful Injury, Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon and Felon in Possession.  Total bond was set at Four hundred thousand dollars.

 This is an on-going investigation and no further information is available.
