On Saturday July 31st 2010 Waterloo Police received a 911 call from a boater who ran out of gas. The Male caller dialed 911 just prior to going over the 4th Street Dam in downtown Waterloo. One adult male and two adult females were inside the boat. The boat capsized after going over the dam and all three people entered the water. Waterloo Fire and Rescue and the Waterloo Police responded to the area and eventually pulled the people from the water. The three boaters were transported to Allen Hospital where they were treated for minor injures. One Waterloo Police Officer was also treated for minor cuts.
