On Friday August 27, 2010 at 1123 hrs, Waterloo Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to the northbound lanes of the 3300 blk of W. Washington on a report of a motorcycle that veered off the road into the ditch. This area is between the Cedar River and East Lake Bridges near George Wythe State Park. 

Officers followed the motorcycle trail through the ditch, a chain link fence and into the water of East Lake where the victims body and a motorcyle were located.   The victims name is not being released at this time pending relative notifications.
