On October 5, 2010 at approximately 9:24 PM, Waterloo Police stopped a vehicle at Newell Street and Peek Street for a traffic violation. During the vehicle stop, Police arrested Derrick James Morehead, age 22, of 311 Cutler Street, Waterloo on charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana and Tax Stamp Violation. He was in possession of more than 42.5 grams of Marijuana. Officers also seized $200 from Morehead. He was taken to the Black Hawk County Jail.

On October 6, 2010 at approximately 12:52 AM, Morehead bonded out of the Black Hawk County Jail. At approximately 1:25 AM, Waterloo Police stopped Morehead at East 4th Street and Mulberry Street for a traffic violation. Following a search of Morehead, he was arrested for Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana and Tax Stamp Violation. Morehead was in possession of more than 48 grams of marijuana. Officers also seized $95 from Morehead. He was taken to the Black Hawk County Jail.
