Waterloo 17 year old charged with Robbery
On November 6, 2008 around 9:40 PM Waterloo Police Officers responded to the Kwik Stop, 1671 Independence Avenue on a report of a robbery. Officers learned that three males entered the business and threatened the people inside with a handgun. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the subjects left the store.
While leaving the store, one of the male's hat fell off and it was left at the store. The hat was sent to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation Crime Lab for DNA testing. Upon further investigation and DNA results, a suspect was identified and arrested in connection with this robbery.
On July 9, 2009, Waterloo Police charged 17-year-old Jamar Ronod Wise, 1138 Lincoln Street, Waterloo, IA with Robbery in the First Degree. He is being held on NO Bond until he goes before a judge.
The investigation is ongoing.
