Shooting victim identified

On 06-28-09 at approx. 2200 hours, Waterloo Police were sent to the 1100 block of Mulberry Street on report of a shooting. The victim has been identified as Corvelous Devortae Caston, age 18, of 908 Mulberry Street, Waterloo, IA.

Caston received several gunshot wounds to the lower back and was transported to Allen Memorial Hospital were he is being treated for his injuries.

The police are interviewing witnesses and the case remains under investigation.
