Waterloo Police Officers Will Participate In National Child Passenger Safety Week

September 21 – 27, 2008 has been designated as National Child Passenger Safety Week.  During this week Waterloo Police Officers and other law enforcement officers from the Waterloo/Cedar Falls metro area, the state, and nation will place an emphasis on enforcing seat belt and child restraint violations. The goal of this project is to make sure all children are secured properly in an appropriate seat – every trip, every time.

Motorists are reminded to adhere to Iowa’s occupant protection laws to keep them safe and to reduce Iowa traffic fatality and serious injury crashes.  Child safety seats and booster seats save lives.  They offer the best protection for children in the event of a crash.
