Officers of the Waterloo Police Department were dispatched to the Neighborhood Mart located at 2100 LaFayette St. on a report of a robbery that had occurred.  A suspect entered the store and threatened the clerk with a gun demanding money.  The second suspect was outside of the store as a lookout.  The suspects were not able to get any money and fled in a vehicle.  The clerk was uninjured.  A short time later a vehicle was stopped with the suspects as occupants.  Through the subsequent investigation,  Marcus Deshawn Gamblin was charged with Robbery 1st and Possession of a Firearm as a felon, and Willie Traymore Phillips was charged with Robbery 1st.
