On June 21, 2012, Waterloo Police arrested Justin Lawrence Robinson, age 26, of 229 Virden Street, Waterloo, IA for Child Endangerment causing bodily injury. He is currently being held in the Black Hawk County Jail.

The police investigation found that on May 23, 2012, Robinson caused injuries to a 9-month-old male by placing the baby in scalding hot water. The incident took place while Robinson was taking care of the victim at his residence at 229 Virden Street. The victim had severe burns on his back and buttocks. The victim is being treated at the University of Iowa Hospital.
