On 2/6/13, at approximately 9:51PM, Waterloo Police were sent to the apartment complex located at 3621 Sager Avenue on a report of someone laying on the ground with a gun lying next to them. 

Upon arrival, officers located a female with a single gunshot wound.   The Medical Examiner arrived on scene. The body was sent to Ankeny for an autopsy. The gunshot wound appears to be self-inflicted. The victims name will not be released at this time.
