On May 7, 2013 at 11:17 PM the Waterloo Police Dept. responded to a single vehicle accident in the 600 block of Cottage Street. The vehicle struck a tree head on in front of 632 Cottage Street. A female driver was taken to Allen Memorail Hospital by Ambulance with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. There was no one else in the vehicle.

Through the investigation, it was determined that the driver left an address in the 400 block of Columbia Street with a serious injury to her arm. She then drove her vehicle to the area of the 600 block of Cottage Street, where she drove through an alley, over some yards, hit a street sign and then ended by hitting the tree at 632 Cottage Street.

The accident is still under investigation and no other information will be available at this time.
