The Waterloo Police Department responded to three armed robberies on November 11th, 2014.
The first reported robbery occurred at Hellman’s Dairy Queen, 1304 W. 5th Street just after 7:00 P.M. where a lone male entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The suspect is described as a black male, 18 to 21 years of age, approximately five feet’ ten inches tall, wearing dark clothing, and fled the area on foot.
The second robbery occurred at Casey’s General Store, 1604 La Porte Rd just before 11:00 P.M. A lone male entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The suspect is described as a black male, about 18 years of age, wearing all gray clothing, and fled on foot.
The third robbery occurred in the 900 block of W 5th Street, just before midnight, where an employee of the West Side Liquor Store, 919 W. 5th Street, was robbed at gunpoint after he exited the business. The suspect, a lone male, described as a skinner black male, about 18 to 19 years of age, wearing all gray clothing, after demanding money, fled the area on foot.
On all three robberies the suspects had their face partially covered in an attempt to conceal their identity. There were no injuries reported.
