On Wednesday January 1, 2015 Waterloo Officers took twenty-seven-year-old Romeo Martez Mabry and twenty-year-old Euniceshia Jhonwanda Watkins into custody on weapons and driving charges. At approximately 3:10am Officers with the Waterloo Police Department's Violent Crime Apprehension Team attempted to stop a silver Jeep Cherokee in the area of W. 11th St. and Glenny St. reference an investigation and traffic violations. At that time Officers were led on a vehicle pursuit for several blocks. The suspect vehicle eventually stopped in the area of W. 9th St/Johnson St. where Officers took Mabry and Watkins into custody. Upon searching the vehicle Officers located a loaded .380 semi-auto handgun in the vehicle. During the investigation Mabry was charged with carrying weapons and Watkins was charged with carrying weapons, interfernece with official acts involving a firearm, Driving While License Suspended and Eluding. They were both booked into the Black Hawk County Jail.
