On February 17, 2015 around 1:30pm Officers with the Waterloo Police Department's Violent Crime Apprehension Team conducted a traffic stop in the area of Conger St. and Logan Ave. reference an equipment violation.  During the investigation Officers made contact with several subjects including twenty-three-year-old Myles Anthony Ross of Cedar Falls.  Upon requesting Ross out of the vehicle Officers observed him kick a baggie of marijuana underneath the vehicle.  Officers then observed a partially concealed .40 caliber handgun on the floorboard where Ross was located.  Ross and several subejcts were detained at that time.  During the investigation Ross was charged with felon in possession of a firearm, carrying weapons and possession of marijuana second offense.  Ross was booked into the Black Hawk County Jail.
