On March 20, 2015, officers were dispatched to 1607 Randolph St. on a report of a stabbing.  Officers located the victim, Roosevelt Aldridge, age 50, who was found to be the father of the suspect, Rashod Aldridge, age 26. Roosevelt Aldridge was unresponsive in the bathroom of the apartment, suffering from an apparent stab wound.  The suspect admitted to stabbing his father during an altercation.  Witness identified Rashod Aldridge as having a knife during the altercation.  Medical reports show that the Roosevelt Aldridge died as the result of a stab wound to the right thigh, and also documented defensive wounds to his hands.

On April, 23rd, 2015 Rashod D. Aldridge was arrested at 11th and Lafeyette Streets in Waterloo on the charge of Murder in the 2nd degree, Iowa Code 707.3, with a bond set at $500,000.00.
