On June 18, 2015 around 10:00pm Officers with the Waterloo Police Department's VCAT Unit conducted a traffic stop in the area of E. 4th St/Walnut St. reference an equipment violation.  During the investigation Officers detected an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.  Officers recovered several quantiites of marijuana, a digital scale and packaging material during the incident.  One of the rear seat passengers was identified as twenty-four-year-old Dennis William Washington of Waterloo.  During a search of Washington Officers located a stun gun on his person.  Officers also located a loaded .22 caliber handgun near his person, which was reported stolen earlier in the year.  Washington was charged with two counts of carrying weapons.  Seventeen-year-old Makayla Chamberlin and sixteen-year-old Deshawn Lee Jackson were charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana.  Eighteen-year-old Jordan Marie Reiter was charged with providing false identification and carrying weapons in addition to being served with multiple arrest warrants.  All of the suspects were booked on their charges.
