On 8/14/2015, at 7:27 pm, Officers from the Waterloo Police Department were dispatched to 119 Locust on the report of shots fired.  Upon arrival Officers and Waterloo Fire personnel found a male gunshot victim, who subsequently died from his injuries.  Officers immediatley located and detained a suspect for further investigation. As a result of the investigation, Steve Fordyce Jr, age 37 of Waterloo was subsequesntly arrested and charged with 1st Degree Murder.  The name of the victim is not being released pending family notification and further investigation.
