On July 17^th at 5:50 P.M. the Waterloo Police Department responded to the Unity Point Health, Allen Hospital on a report of three subjects brought into the emergency room by private vehicle with gunshot wounds.

Officers determined that the shooting took place in the 800 block of Logan Ave in Waterloo. That area was secured and there was evidence that the shooting did occur in front of 817 Logan Ave.

While investigating the incident the Police Department was informed that one of the victims had died from the gunshot wound. Otavious Donte Brown, age 21 of Waterloo, died of a single gunshot to the chest.

Dewon C. Campbell, age 17, of Waterloo, and Aundrey F. Roberts, age 22 of Waterloo, also received injuries from being shot, but were non-threatening and they were treated and released.
