On Monday, March 27, 2017 at approximately 9:19 P.M. the Waterloo Police Department was notified of a gunshot victim that arrived at Unity Point Health, Allen Hospital Emergency Department by private vehicle. The victim, Regis Johnson (age 25), while at 639 Wallgate in Waterloo, suffered a single gunshot wound to the face.  Johnson was conscious and alert when he arrived at the hospital. Johnson was then transported to the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics and is listed in stable condition.
