On Monday, April 30th, 2018, Chief Trelka and the Waterloo Police Department will be presented with the 2018 Exchange Club Book of Golden Deeds. There will be two separate presentations. The first will be at the noon Exchange Club meeting held at the Elks Club and the second will be at the beginning of the City of Waterloo council meeting at 5:30 PM.

The nomination, submitted by a committee of the Waterloo Exchange Club, states in part, “An organization that achieves outstanding performance is dependent on competent leadership. Leadership starts at the top of the organization and is consistently modeled at successive levels. The Waterloo Police Department is an example of such an organization.”
