On Thursday, May 31^st, 2018 Waterloo Police and Waterloo Fire Rescue responded to the alley to the south of the 1200 block of Washington Street on a report of a deceased adult male.  Initial investigation into this matter indicates that the male died as the result of a gunshot.   The victim has been identified as Shavondes S. Martin age 22 of Waterloo.   This is an ongoing investigation and information will be released as it becomes available.    We ask anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the Waterloo Police Investigations Unit at 319-291-4340 option 7.
