On November 8^th, 2018 Waterloo Police Officers obtained an arrest warrant for Danaesha L. Martin age 22 charging her for 1^st Degree Murder, in connection with the death of Shavondes S. Martin.     Danaesha Martin’s was last known by police to be in Norfolk Virginia.   

Officers contacted the United States Marshals Service for assistance in locating Danaesha Martin.    On November 13^th, 2018 the United States Marshals Service with the assistance of the Norfolk VA Police Department, located and arrested Danaesha Martin without incident at 12:50 PM in the 700 block of A Avenue, Norfolk Va.

Shavondes S. Martin was found deceased in an alley near South Street in Waterloo on May 31^st 2018.    An autopsy was performed and determined his death was the result of gunshot wounds.

The investigation into this case is ongoing and no further information will be released at this time.   Anyone with information regarding this or other cases please contact the Waterloo Police Department.
