Over the past few days Waterloo Police Officers have responded to numerous reports of conterfeit $100 bills being passed at business in Waterloo.   These bills are very difficult to detect without very close inspection.    We are urging businesses to be espectially vigilant of large bills being passed, especially for the purchase of small items.    If you believe you have received a conterfeit bill contact law enforcement immediately.  If possible please provide responding officers with  a description of the person passing the bill and any vehicle they may be using.
