On Wednesday, January 24^th, 2018 Waterloo Police received a report that Lakisha (Owens) Williams (age 40) had not been heard from since January 21^st.   Officers began to investigate her disappearance and were unable to locate her until January 26^th, 2018 when her body was discovered in the back of the Garden of Memories Cemetery.   An autopsy later determined Lakisha (Owens) Williams’s cause of death was homicide.

On February 13, 2019 Investigators with the Waterloo Police Department obtained warrants for the arrest of Fredrick NMN Williams for Murder in the 1^st Degree and Abuse of a Corpse, in connection with the death of Lakisha (Owens) Williams.  

The warrants were served on Fredrick NMN Williams at the Clarinda Correctional Facility where Fredrick NMN Williams is currently incarcerated for violating his parole in reference to a Robbery 1^st charge from 2014.
