The Waterloo Police Department in partnership with the Waterloo Exchange Club is proud to announce the 2018 Officer and Reserve Officer of the Year.
Officer Brad Walter was selected as the 2018 Officer of the year. Officer Walter began his career with the Waterloo Police Deparment in 2002. Officer Walter is an expert in traffic accident investigation, traffic law, impaired driving enforcement and a drug recognition expert and instructor for impaired driving. Officer Walter is assigned to 3rd Watch Patrol and to the Departments Motorcycle Unit.
Officer Kerry Elliott was selected as the 2018 Reserve Officer of the year. Reserve Officer Elliott has been with the department since 2012. As a Reserve, Officer Elliott has worked various shifts, special projects and events for the Waterloo Police Department.
We would like to thank these officers for their hardwork and dedication to duty and to thank the Exchange Club for honoring their service.
