The Waterloo Police Department would like to remind drivers that area schools are back in session.  Waterloo Schools begin on Monday August 26^th, 2019.   The start of school will bring a change in traffic patterns, increased bus, bicycle and pedestrian traffic along with many new drivers on the road.   We ask that you be cautious and courteous, and be extremely attentive while driving.   You are reminded to stop for school buses, yield to pedestrians and drive defensively.    Officers will be watching for distracted driving and other traffic violations in and around are schools to ensure the safety of our students.
